Ana Music graduated from WAAPA in 2018 with her Honours in Dance, having completed a thesis on the topic of ‘Body image, aesthetic and the factors that influence attitudes towards pain and injury in dance subculture’. During this Honours year Ana performed nationally and internationally, travelling from wee Perth to France, The Netherlands, Germany, Sydney, and home to Melbourne. Before attending WAAPA, Ana was a student at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School from years eight to twelve. Post WAAPA Ana had created and Performed in Perth Fringe World Festival as part of the SYNDICATE Performance Collective, and in a solo show based on the absurdities of her own family titled ‘Susan’. Ana has also performed in STRUT’s Short Cuts Season working alongside graduates in her year and a selection of industry dancers. Ana feels that dance is an ability that everyone possesses and is grateful for the sense of community such an industry provides. A SYNDICATE member, yes. Here to create, yes please.
