Olivia Hendry is a recent WAAPA graduate, having completed her BAC in Dance in 2018. At WAAPA she created her first work ‘pity party’ as part of UNLEASHED: Student Works Season, 2017. In that same year she became a founding member of SYNDICATE, and has been involved in both of their dual nominated Perth Fringe Festival works, 2018 and 2019, and their MOORINGS residency at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre. She is also a co-founder of Not Sold Separately, an emerging theatre collective, through which she recently created a dance theatre work titled ‘No Mandarin’s An Island’. This debuted in April as part of the season Drug Aware presents: ceilings. by Not Sold Separately. Olivia has a keen interest in the hybridisation of dance and theatre, and recently performed an entirely improvised dance theatre solo at the State Theatre Centre’s Studio Underground as part of KickstART Festival’s Hidden Movements mentorship program.
